Tailor-made brand experience within strict limitations

Beko is a Turkish manufacturer of kitchen appliances. In 2024, the company acquired Whirlpool’s European division. A few years earlier, Next Level Concepts had already designed and built a custom-made luxury mobile showroom for Whirlpool. Beko wanted a similar type of promotional demonstration truck for the Beko brand, to demonstrate its appliances at resellers’ locations.

A key requirement for a mobile showroom of this kind is that it can be driven with a standard driver’s license. This ensures that employees bringing the “Beko experience” to resellers do not need to obtain a commercial driver’s license. This requirement imposes strict limitations on the vehicle’s weight and size. Within those limits, we fully customized the truck according to Beko’s specifications and demands.

Smart design based on strategic decisions

Designing and building within these strict limitations requires clear agreements on which equipment should be demonstrable and which equipment needs to function at a minimum. Of course, we also considered all the basic requirements such as heating, lighting, air conditioning, etc. We then selected the equipment that needed to be fully functional and built-in, as well as equipment for which only a front panel (for display demonstrations) was required. That was the basis for the design.

The entire interior of the truck is custom-designed and custom-made. It is engineered with the utmost precision and constructed using the lightest possible materials. It features clever cutouts that create an attractive visual appearance without compromising the structural integrity of the design. All equipment is replaceable – so the truck can be reused time and again for new products or product lines – and the truck is powered “off-grid” by a battery pack that can be charged overnight. The battery provides enough power to run an average day in the “unplugged” scenario. If more power is needed, you can switch to the “medium” or “ultra” scenario with a cable, allowing you to demonstrate more appliances simultaneously. Depending on the cable you connect, the truck knows which scenario to run and which appliances to power.

The concept

A luxury mobile showroom for Beko, featuring a large selection of home appliances that can be functionally demonstrated on-site. Powered by a battery pack and working “unplugged” for an average day. This demonstration truck was built within strict weight and size restrictions, allowing anyone with a standard driver’s license to operate it. It turned out to be a highly comprehensive mobile concept in which functionality, ease of use, design, and experience come together perfectly to meet every need. An attractive and practical mobile brand experience.
